ice rink at national gallery of art

finally went skating today at the outdoor rink at the national gallery of art - on the mall downtown. we were there just as the sun was going down, so all the stately buildings were sunlit at the sky grew deeper blue. it's fantastic living here.

wish i could blame the speedy children for the big bruises i'll have by morning. BUT, bruises are worth it, because i finallyfinallyfinally learned to cross skates around corners!
