just got back from a looong weekend skiing in wyoming! was our yearly trip - and this time, the wives and girlfriends came, too.

the extra girls were great because a) i didn't have to make all the decisions, as in the past, b) the guys' daily telephone time was slashed, and c) they cooked extremely tasty eats. other notes:- beautiful moonlit nights showed all the snow-covered mountains
- fantastic powdery snow - falling was almost fun. and steep moguls, no problem (just drag your ass acrost 'em ifn you can't slow down)
- getting to know m's wife (ea) and k's girlfriend (eb) better, and seeing them as couples. glad those ladies will be around for the future (and not just for the cooking)
- saddles as barstools at the million dollar cowboy bar. even better: only 6 of us made the outing! (beechface and f stayed home, allowing the rest of us to actually have fun)
- being buried in a snow pile with eb to be rescued by a dog
- 2 moose up close and personal! came THIS slose to riding one, but a car came along and spooked it. sheeit.
- having my own bed in a ROOM, not the couch. shared the room with the other single (though i think he only called me 'girlfriend' begause he couldn't remember my name). this eliminated my biggest motivation for getting into a relationship (to get a damn bedroom on the ski trip)
- practicing tele enough to not be the slowest in the group
- code names on the radio. TINA, COME GET YOUR HAM!
- hot tub with snow-rolls. stings.
- impromptu sledding, with all kinds of competitions
- hanging out with very, very good friends, and knowing that the trips will continue despite changes in our lives. is that too sappy? i kept watching other groups on vacation with kids, and thinking it'll be cool if and when kids come on our trip.
