nyc

hola!  i went to nyc this weekend.  it was pretty great.  the only problem was that j brought the wrong roomate.  nyc is a great place to visit, but it is too large for me to live there.  now i'm tired and catching a cold and need to go to bed (can't consume excessively the way i used to), so can't upload pictures now, but some of the great things i saw were:

-more people with tattoed faces than i've ever seen
-lots of small dogs, some dressed as leopards.  rowr.
-the whitney biennial (very fantastic, but a lot was beyond me)
-one dude with a shaved head but for 1 square inch on top that was in a single 10cm spike
-central park for the first time
-the inside of a dc-years' worth of taxis
-a hundreds-strong mob of teenagers running down 7th ave
-lots of building wraps and enormous ads
-storefronts for very expensive brands, everywhere
-thousand-dollar baby carriages
-brooklyn, but it's fuzzy
-the inside of a dive bar in the village at 1 on a sunday afternoon
-s's o-face
...and that's as good a place to end as any.
