accidentally discovered two things yesterday at work that are now taking up a lot of my attention. was WORKING when i discovered them, too:

kp calculator to determine the probability that you will be able to see the aurora. i had previously been using this noaa site, which shows regions but doesn't nail it as precisely for individual locations. to find your lat/long, try noaa/nws or the link on the kp site.

baby names applet. no, i'm not near to having babies, but i've always had a thing for names. this thing is so amazing - hard to tear away - have to keep investigating more letters, more trends.
