i've come back to the east coast after years in the crystal skies of the upper midwest, and after being indoctrinated with excessive knowledge of atmospheric particulate matter. so, the air quality here is horrifying to me. i drove 2 hours north last weekend, and the whole way i was speeding and snapping photos of the poor visibility on a beautiful fall day. this one's at the conowingo dam - it's just a river's width across, but the haze is terrible. we should be able to SEE the fall colors on the other side of the river!
