nothing special

no pictures today, sorry. just some random bits.

saw some window washers rapelling down the building next door (no platforms) - hope the residents knew what to expect. i almost hope they DON'T wash the windows at my house.

spent more than half an hour on the phone with my old boss - after 6 years of not being able to talk to hom because he was on the phone, i'm now the one taking up the phone time. much more fun this way!

why do guys, upon seeing a woman walk into a bar alone or sit alone, think the thing to do is buy her a beer? oh, wait - it's because it obligates her to interact with them. guess i knew that.

i saw an irving penn exhibit at the national gallery of art recently. it's no longer there, and i can't find any photos online that do his work justice. penn's palladium-platinum prints made a real impression on me. so detailed, and with so much depth - hardly flat at all. makes me want to give up the day job and pursue a new career!

anyway, like i said - nothing special - just thursday.
