squirrel redux

finally got my bike fixed! specialized replaced the frame because the crack was in a place that indicates 'random frame failure', not collision or misuse. they also gave me an upgrade - from the 2003 midrange frame to the 2005 PRO frame. it looks like this, but with midgrade components (except i have better rims than those shown on midrange). note especially the split carbon fiber rear top stay. i paid $50 for labor for moving the parts from the old frame, and the receipt said "you saved $399!". totally rad.

but, of course, now we're into miserable winter darkness time, so i didn't get a chance to ride it, even though it looks sooo smoooth. guess i'll have to take some time off this week....
