team cevrenizdekiler!

so, i've been back from turkey for 96 hours now, and this is the first chance i've had to write at all.  things have been busy these few days - but the real time sink has been the passing out before midnight and sleeping straight til 8 or 9.  how does anybody ever get anything done sleeping that much?  will i ever get back to normal?  and most of all: how did we manage to fit SO MUCH FUN into one week in turkey that i'm wiped out this badly??

i'll have to write more later, when i can put a few key pictures up.  can't wait to be able to stay awake long enough to get the pictures off my camera and check them out.  it's was a great trip, i keep laughing at the memories.  everyone keeps asking me what the best part was, and the best i can come up with is "thursday-sunday in istanbul with b and j".  oh yeah, we went everywhere and did everything and saw crazy amounts of beautiful, amazing ancient stuff and ate great food and spent all our money and all that jazz, but the best part was my friends.  i'll travel with youins anytime!

i'm bad at buying souvenir-y stuff, so i didn't buy any of those tasty turkish figs even though i wanted them real bad.  unfortunately for me, whole foods sells that shit organic-style for an arm and a leg.  and guess what i can't stop eating?  stinking break-the-bank organic figs.  wonder if i can get fig seeds to grow?

when i saw my smoker friend here in town just after i got back, i thought she had quit the sticks - she didn't smell smoky at all when we hugged.  but no - she'd been smoking EXTRA that day - it was just that my smoke-sensors were broken by team cevrenizdekiler and the ubiquitous turkish smoke.

damn, i wish i hadn't eaten all those gummy bears so quickly.  gotta run - about to fall asleep - promise some better adventure stories later....
