you are so behind the times

i can't believe all the things have happened that you don't know anything about.

went to a screening of a made-for-hbo documentary on climate change. it was produced by laurie david, and robert kennedy jr, lieberman, and mccain spoke at the screening. (fuzzy pictures here) i wasn't too excited about the celebs, but it was very cool that a friend's boyfriend was one of the [bearded men in a long string of white male] scientists featured. in addition to finding very few audience-friendly authorities, the movie irritated me by repeating several clips in close proximity. you're HBO, you have plenty of footage.

went to a hippie noodling concert by accident. 'nough said.

had a fabulous time with k and consumed far too much liquor in a short period of time saturday night. woke up sunday morning and drove to annapolis to go sailing. my first sail here, with new people, big boat - practicing for a race. (didn't tell them about the hangover, so my brief bout with intense nausea towards the end of the day was "seasickness"). was very cool, am looking forward to lots more sailing through the summer and fall.

went to ghostface killah concert! it was awesome, even though k had to tell me that they were saying "when i say 'wu', you say 'tang'" (sounded like 'uh' and 'ahd'). M1 from dead prez was one of the openers - he and omi were much more understandable, but much more mistakenly political (is the government really assassinating ALL the black leaders?). ghostface's music was much louder, which made it harder to understand. he kept asking us to turn off all the lights and put our cell phones in the air, and there was a moment of silence for ODB. and then at then end, he got 20 or so girls on the stage, and they just all rubbed up on him. i think this wu tang business is a good deal. summary: got to yell "f the police" more times in one night than i ever have before.

ok, that gets you almost up to date. try to keep up better, ok?
