that jerk bobby

tonight a universal truth got in my way:
there will always be abandoned bobby pins on the floor of the gym locker room, unless one is desperately sought.

but then two other universal truths helped me out:

people hardly notice anything at all.

anyone astute enough to notice that someone has used toilet paper to tie her hair back is probably astute enough not to mention it.

and yes, i passed a bobby pin on the sidewalk on the way home.
