- i'm realizing lately how slow i am sometimes. so i am trying to speed up and be less finicky. i've started eating the tops of strawberries instead of nibbling around the stems.

- this article about gender issues in science is very interesting - written by a transgendered neurobiology prof in response to the Summers somments last year. (you need Nature access, sorry). i'm not big on the gender debate, but this article is cool.

- and i saw that article on the same day i saw this one, in which a man said that a female racer was aggressive at the right time of the month. danica patrick handled it perfectly, saying "I'm glad he's showing some personality".
