busy

things are getting even busier. so busy that i can't remember all the things i was supposed to write about (only remember to write about my food worm fun). tomorrow i'm going to a senate confirmation hearing for a couple of EPA appointees, and then to a happy hour; friday's a party; and saturday there's an all-day concert next to the washington monument. so far, the projects are a change of pace and keep me engaged all day. today i combined two tricks to make my after-work evening much more pleasant: 4.30pm coffee plus eating enough food during the day! (they only fed us every 5-6 hours for two weeks. horrible. people sitting near me often asked about the angry monster i was hiding.)

was supposed to move things into the linen closet and bathroom tonight, so i better go do that. but first, here's the view of the DC roof from the skyline of my house (nat'l cathedral on right, washington monument 1/3 way in from left):
